The Proxy Module & authProxy machine must be listed in Internet Explorer's
Local Internet security zone for all computers using it in
order to function properly. If it is not in the
Local Internet, then credentials will not be automatically
provided. Even if the credentials are entered manually, the Proxy
Module cannot authenticate with results when not listed in Internet
Explorer's Local Internet.
If the Proxy Module machine is already in the Local Internet
settings, you may skip this step.
The following steps adds the Proxy Module machine to Internet
Explorer's Local Internet:
Start Internet Explorer.
Choose Tools from the menu, and select
Internet Options.
Choose the Security tab.
Choose Local Internet from the list of zones.
Click the Sites button to edit the local internet.
Click Advanced to manually add a site.
Uncheck Require server verification (https:)
for all sites in this zone
Enter the full hostname of your proxying machine, for example
proxyMachine.example.com.
Click Add to add the site to the Trusted Sites.
Click Close to close the Advanced window.
Click OK to close the Local Intranet window.
Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
Internet Explorer is now configured to pass credentials to the
proxy machine. This is a per-user configuration, and will need to be
configured for any user that is authenticating via the Proxy Module.
